The International Day of Tolerance

To mark the International Day of Tolerance on November 16, the National Library of Lithuania and the WJC’s International Yiddish Center in Vilnius held the first event of the series ‘Meetings with Jewish Literature,’ with readings and commentary on Moishe Kulbak's famous poem “Vilne” (translated to Lithuanian by Alfonsas Bukontas).

The event was opened by Viktorija Juse, Director of the International Yiddish Center in Vilnius, and was led by the head of the Judaic research center at the National Library, Dr. Lara Lempertiene.
